Bass guitar
I have played electric bass for more than 25 years, mostly rock and metal. It is the instrument that works underneath: it locks in with the drums and gives weight to the guitar riffs. A bit like good software architecture: when it works nobody notices, and when it is missing everyone does.
Amateur radio
Italian callsign IU8DKG, and a US licence with callsign N8DKG. What I enjoy most about shortwave is the technical side: I design and build my own HF antennas and experiment with SDR receivers. With my equipment I can reach any corner of the world.
